Books for Easter Baskets

Books for Easter Baskets

I know many people who love to include books in their children’s Easter baskets so I compiled a round up of ideas to help you out!

Disclaimer: Some of the listed books were gifted to me from the publishers, but all opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links which means I get a small commission at no additional cost to you.

For the youngest readers…

Board books make great Easter basket fillers for the babies and toddlers in your life. I have a full post of our Favorite Board Books for Babies and Toddlers you can check out for ideas. This year my baby will be getting this Bathtime with Ducky Duck book that she can take into the bath or anywhere else

For a seasonal choice…

For the busy hands…

These Paint by Sticker books from Workman Publishing are very popular–and for good reason! Kids match the stickers to the numbers and create beautiful images. Perfect for keeping little hands busy during car trips, waiting rooms, during a family read aloud, and more. My kids love doing these and will both be getting a new one in their basket this year. Geared towards age 5 and up. My 4 year old loves them, but usually requires a lit bit of guidance. Make sure you are getting ones that say “Paint by Stickers Kids” because the publisher does make more advanced versions of the books as well.

For interactive reading…

Check out my list of Children’s Books Worth Owning for books that are you aren’t as likely to find at your library and which provide a lot of touching, lifting, searching, and more!

For the independent reader…

I know many parents are on the hunt for quality chapter books for their newly independent readers. Check out this list for our favorite early chapter books. They are all illustrated with high interest, engaging plots. I started many of these as read alouds with my son when he was a preschooler, but now he is starting to read these series on his own! They are especially perfect for Easter baskets since most of the books are only about $5 each.

For the affordable option…

Books can be expensive! If you’re looking to include books in your basket but don’t want to spend a lot of money, I recommend checking out The Book Outlet. They have a great selection books at very low prices. You can find all age ranges and genres. They have activity books like the Paint by Stickers books mentioned above, old favorites, and new releases. There are limited quantities of the books so if you see something you really want pay attention to how many are left in stock. I am getting my kids each a favorite picture book that they don’t own, but have repeatedly checked out from the library. Each of their books cost me less than $5. If this is your first purchases with Book Outlet you can use this coupon to save $10 off a $25 order. I love using Book Outlet to stock up on presents for friends as well!
